Inspired by the neighborhood where she grew up, Jess wrote a novella at 8 years-old, then grabbed her dad’s Nikon to take the pictures that matched the words. From that point on, she was hooked on visual storytelling.
During her career as a TV News Anchor & Reporter, she has won an Edward R. Murrow Award & Associated Press Broadcasters Award, while working in the country’s top media markets, including New York City, Philadelphia & Houston. Her enterprise stories have appeared nationally & on a variety of global news platforms.
She covers topics across the board, with a passion for “people stories.” As a go-to entertainment reporter, she once enjoyed a guest role on the long-running CBS soap opera, “As the World Turns.”
Jess graduated New York University with top academic honors & was a recipient of the NYU Founders’ Day Award. She holds a Master of Journalism degree from Iona University, where she earned the Edward J. Lovas Journalism Award.
She is continually learning new skills in her industry, including new formats of shooting & editing video, & the latest trends in online publishing. She utilizes data-driven analytics programs that track the success of marketing & editorial campaigns.
